FAQ
-
What should I expect at my first session?
Your first visit begins with a short intake to discuss your goals, health history, and any areas of focus. From there, we’ll create a session tailored to your needs, blending therapeutic massage with somatic-informed techniques. Each session ends gently with a glass of water, organic herbal tea + honey, snacks, and post-session electrolytes!
-
Do I need to undress completely?
We are trauma-informed bodyworkers and providing a safe space is our number one priority. You are always in control of what you wear. Most clients undress to their comfort level (typically undergarments or fully disrobed under the sheet). You’ll be professionally draped at all times, with only the area being worked on exposed.
-
What if I feel nervous or uncomfortable?
That’s completely normal and does not hurt our feelings at all. The Enclave is a trauma-informed practice — communication is encouraged, and you can pause, adjust, or stop the session at any time. Emotional releases are also normal (i.e. crying/sobbing, twitching, feeling something caught in your throat suddenly, uncontrollable laughter or giggling) and much more common thank you’d think! Your therapist is trained to guide you through it.
-
What should I do before and after my appointment?
Hydrate well and avoid heavy meals right before your session. To minimize your stress levels, please arrive a few minutes early to ensure you can calmly find our studio on time for your appointment —hopefully you’re early enough to sit, listen to the ocean waves or watch the boats go by in the marina!
Afterward, give yourself time to rest, reflect, drink water and your complimentary post-treatment electrolytes to support the body’s natural recovery process.
-
Do you accept same-day bookings?
All sessions are by appointment only. Same-day availability may be possible, but most clients schedule in advance or enroll in our membership program to secure preferred times.
-
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
We require 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or reschedules. Late cancellations or no-shows will be charged the full session fee.
